I don't know how well Komplete Kontrol Software works in Logic.Īnd for example i don't know how easy or difficult it is to implement your own presets in Komplete Kontrols functions and browsing abilities. I don't think there is a wonder solution that works optimal in all cases and scenarios. So you need to find out what you excactly wan't and/ or need to do, and what counts the most for you. And you will not be able to handle presets the same way thru your controller if you use a Novation controller. You will not see the preset names in a Novation controller either, but only see them on your computer screen. But Komplete Kontrol software can not be integrated in Novations controllers like it can in Komplete Kontrol controllers. You can find a way to use and browse the individual NI applications - including Komplete Kontrol software - in a DAW, perhaps without using your controller at all. So the questions i asked in the short answer is relevant here. So when you talk about browse, then it depends on what you mean. Novations controllers like SL MKII and Impulse can use Novations Automap features. Akai also have a so called advanced controller. But off coarse i can't use it excactly the same way it can with Komplete kontrol controllers using Komplete Kontrol software. Then i can tell i use my Komplete software applications in my DAW and i use a Novation SL MKII controller. If you wan't Machine and wan't o integrate it in a DAW it might be a good idea to find out what DAW it work best in. Komplete Kontrol is a keyboard controller. Machine is basicly a drummachine that can do some tracks of different kinds, but it's not a DAW as such as it is now.
So if you need a DAW, then you need to buy one even if you buy Machine and Komplete Kontrol.
Machine and Komplete Kontrol are not - and don't have - a real DAW like Logic. So what do you mean when you say browse? What do you exspect to be able to do, and browse with what?įirst. But if you wan't to browse using your controller the same way as you can with Komplete Kontrol, then no.
